These are to certifie that the Bearer hereof Ellis Owen did truely & faithfully serve his late Ma[jes]ty vnder the Com[m]and of Col[one]l Hugh Wynne as a foote souldier & in my company & hath never since deserted his s[ai]d Ma[jes]tys Service witnesse my hand. the 12th day of Aprill: 1666:
