These are to certify that the Bearer hereof Ellis David of Llanvaire Talhajarne in the County of Denbigh hath truely & faithfully ha serv’d his late Ma[jes]ty King Charles the first of happy memory vnder in the regiment of Col[one]l William Wynne & in my company & never deserted his s[ai]d Ma[jes]tys service nor his ma[jes]tys yt now is, as wittnesse my hand this 27th day of Septemb[e]r 1675
