These are to certifie all whom it may concerne that Edward Cawsey was an officer of my Regiment in the Parliament service for divers yeares together and at the seidge of Lyme was my Captaine Lieuetenant & soe continued untill Exon was surrendered unto the Lord Fairfax in all w[hi]ch time he behaved himselfe faithfully & valiantly as a soldier of trust and afterwards went in the Parliament service to Ireland where he was slaine and hath left his widdow in a sad & comfortlesse condition w[hi]ch I likewise certifie, witnes my hand and seale the 29th day of September 1654.
