Brother

The bearer hearof Edw[ard] Sutton (as I understand by him) hathe made some p[ro]gress in his busines concerninge the obtayninge of a Pencion, allowed for maymed souldiers his orders & certificate will further declare how farr hee has p[ro]ceeded, but hee tells mee that p[ar]te of the moneys, w[hi]ch was giuen him by theise orders is yet vnpaid, and he is yett vnsetled for any constant allowance for the future, his request is, and myne on his behalfe, that att the Sessions when the business shall come before you, you will befreind him what you may,

I craue yo[u]r excuse for this trouble and remaine
