The certificate for Edward Preece of Marchwiel, Denbighshire, 31 October 1663

These may certifie all whom it may concerne that Ed[war]d Preece of Marchwiell in the Countye of Denbigh hath beene in the late warre a souldier vnder the comand of Colonell John Robinsun who hath euer since continued faithfull vnto his Ma[jes]tys Father of famous memorye & neuer revolted from his first principles to this very day but is & hath beene very willing to serue his Ma[jes]tys in all loayltye & obedience which wee know to be true and that he is very poer & indigent. dated 8ber the 31 1663.

I do remember Ed[war]d Preece aboue menc[ione]d a Foot soldier in Coll[onell] John Robinsons Company & never heard otherwise then well of him.
