These are to Certifie to all whome it shall or may appertaine that Edward Miller of Barnestaple in the Countie of Devon, Weaver, being fower or five yeares since in service for the Parlam[en]t against Modburye in Devon, was there in that service maymed in one of his handes whereby hee is altogeather disabled to use or follow his trade and occupation but was constrained to sell all hee had, and is and hath been for a long tyme relieved, both himselfe, his wife and three smalle children, by the Charitie and benevolence of Charitable p[er]sons, haveing beene a man who in former tymes lived comfortably by his Calling, In testemonie of the truth whereof wee have hereunto subscribed o[u]r names the twentie sixth day of June 1648.
