These are to certify yo[u]r wor[shi]ps, That Edward ap Evan Gru[ffith] of Gwytherin did very faithfully serve his late Ma[jes]tie King Charles ye first of famous memory in the late vnhappie warres in the Regim[en]t of Colonell Hugh Wyne vnder my Comaund In w[hi]ch s[ai]d service he rec[eive]d seu[er]all wounds & bruises whereby he is disabled to labour as form[er]ly. And that hee hath not deserted ye said service but continued faithfull all along to ye Royall cause as wittnesse my hand this 28th September 1665
