The certificate for Drummer William Dowdall, Thomas Pride’s Regiment, 3 March 1648

These are to certifie all whom it may Concerne that the Bearer heare of William Dowdall hath beene a souldier in the Parliament service from the redusing of the armie vnto his exellencie the lord fearfax and searved in Coronall Pride is Rigement vnder the Com[m]and of Maiger gregson vntill this present March 1647 dureing all which time he hath beene in actuall searvice and behaved himselfe trulie and faithfullie and now being extreme sike and vnfit for service longe of his wound he had in the armie I Recommend him vnto the Masters and offecires of the Sawoy Hospitall for the Better Recouerie of his health therefore I thought this fit to certifie vnder my hand
