Gentlemen.
At the request of Dauid Euans of Wrexham wee doe certifie that he faithfully serued his late maiesty of Blessed memory in the late wars vnder the Comand of Maior Francis Manley as sergeant to his Company of Foote and in seuerall other [illegible] Capacityes, and that he allwayes kept himselfe constant and Loyall to his first principles and indeauor[e]d as farr as in him lay to his maiestys Ble Happy Restauration whereby he became a greate sufferer both in Purse and person wherefore wee hope you will consider of him according to his deserts and Remayne
