These are to certify that the bearer hereof David ap Richard of the p[ar]ish of Bettus hath truely & faithfully serv[e]d his late Ma[jes]ty Kyng Charles the first of blessed memory as a Soldier in the regiment of Col[one]l Hugh William Wynne & in my company & continued all along loyall to his s[ai]d Ma[jes]ty & his Ma[jes]ty that now is, as wittnesse my hand this 2d day of Octob[e]r 1675
