I humbly certifie y[o]u. That ye bearer David ap Edward of Nantinhengroen served his late Ma[jes]tie (of euer blessed memory) as a Co[m]mon soldier under ye Com[m]and of Capt[ain] John Price being Liften[an]t of that companie & receaved seu[er]all hurts & bruises in ye s[ai]d service both att Holt & Chest[e]r & especially one hurt vpon his thigh w[hi]ch much disabled him from getting his liueing by as I was truly informed & this I make bould to certifie y[o]u vnder my hand the 15 day of Aprill in In the yeare of the raigne of our Sou[er]aigne Lord Charles ye second by ye grace of God of England, Scotland France & Ireland king defender of ye faith ye sixteenth & Anno d[o]mi[n]i 1664.
