The certificate for Daniell Edwardes of Erbistock, Denbighshire, 7 November 1663

Th{ei}s are to certefie that the bearer hereof Daniell Edwardes of the p[ar]ish of Erbistocke & Countie of Denbigh was in the tyme of the late warres A souldier in the Companey & vnder the Commaund of Maior Francis Manley in the seruice of his late ma[jes]tie of blessed memory And that hee did faithfully serue as a souldier in seu[er]all seruices vnder the said Com[m]aund haueinge in all the tyme of his s[ai]d seruices contynued truely loyall & faithfull & suffered long imprisonment for his reallitie [illegible] towards his s[ai]d late Ma[jes]tie, As witnes my hand the seaventh day of No[vem]b[e]r in the 15 yeare of King Charles the second & in the yeare of o[u]r Lord 1663

Mr Pritchard being satisfied of the truth of this Certificate we doe hereby ord[e]r that you allow & pay to the bearer Daniell Edwards the sume of five shillings for his mayntenance till ye next q[ua]rter sessions and that you Continue him at fiue shillings quarterly till further ord[e]r

Theise are to certify that the Inclosed writing is the Certificate w[hi]ch I formerly gave in ye behalf of Daniel Edwards and was signed according to ye date of it, and that it hath euer since remayned w[i]th the clark of the peace, I doe further certifie that he took vp armes at first in this County of Denbigh, And I conceiue him as fitt & capable of his pension as any man of his quality in this County witnesse my hand the fifth day of March 1676/7
