The certificate for Charles Dolling of Essendon, Hertfordshire, 6 January 1659

Wee whose names are hereunto subscribed doe certifie that Charles Dollinge of the parish of Essenden in the Countie of Hertford Labourer was about the yeare 1644 pressed a Souldier for ye Parliam[en]ts service under the command of Capt[ain] Humfery where hee continued for the space of one yeare and A half and afterwards returned home maimed, soe that hee is altogether disabled (in regard of his lamnesse) to get any subsistence or Livelihood for his wife and small children. In witness whereof wee haue hereunto putt our hands.
