Whereas Captaine Henry Ga{wler} of a Company in my owne foot R{egiment} {be}fore his death served the Parliament for two yeres & vpwards for w[hi]ch he is much in arreare & at the last fight at Newbury was slaine; And his mother Mary Gawler widow haveing by reason of his being in Armes, suffered much losse by the plundering of the Enemy Whereby she is in very great want & necessity. These are therefore to will and require you forthwith out of the Treasure remayning in yo[u]r hands to pay vnto the saide Mary Gawler towards her lyvelyhood & subsistence the som[m]e of fifteene pounds by way of imprest vpon Accompt w[hi]ch is to be defaulked out of the Accompt of the said Captaines Arreares. For payment whereof this shal be yo[u]r warrant. Dated this Fowth day of January 1644.
