This is to certifie that Josias Curbie was in actuall Seruis as Corp[ora]ll to Capt[ain] Renold Gale Comp[any] and Sargant to Col[one]l Hewson p[ar]ticulor Comp[any] in Col[one]l Hewson Reg[i]m[en]t And was slaine in defending his post against a Sally of ye Enemy from Deale Castell in Kent in the Mounth of July 1648 Giuen vnder my our hands the 7o of Martii 1648.
