The certificate for Anne Jones of Llangollen, Denbighshire, 1 April 1664

Theise are to Certifie that the bearer herof Anne Jones wyddow is wyddow to John Thomas of Llangollen y[e]o[man] who was a soldier in his late Majestys seruice vnder the comand of Maior John Edwards in the late vnhappie warrs. That the said John Thomas dyed in his sayd Maiestyes service in Reading, leauing behind him his sayd wydow without any subsistence she being constrayned euer since her husbands decease to liue vpon charity We doe therefore recomend her to the Justices of ye peace for the County of Denbigh to be releeued out of the maymed soldiers taxation as they shall think fitt. Dated first day of Aprill 1664.
