Wee the Maior and Aldermen of the Burrowe of Wigan in the County Palatine of Lancast[e]r doe humbly certiffy all whom it may Concerne Vnder our hands and the Townes Seale of the said Burrow: That Abraham Midgley Late Troop[er] in Capt[ain] John Smith Troope Now Governor of Hull departed this lyffe on the Tenth day of January last past a faithfull Listed Troop[er] at his decease in the said Troope: And that hee hath left in Wigan (who are now all there liveing) his poore wiffe and Fower Smale Infants who have not any either p[er]sonall or reall estate whereon to live: In Testimony whereof wee have herevnto Subscrybed our hands: the Fifteenth Day of March In the yeare of our Lord 1657.
