To the wor[shipfu]ll the kings Ma[jes]t[y]s Justice of the peace of the County of Denbigh.

These are to certify yo[u]r wor[shi]ps That the bearer hereof Alexander Humphreys of Tybrith Vcha in the County of Denbigh did truely and faithfully serue his late Ma[jes]tie king Charles the first of famous memory in the late vnhappie warres first in the Regiment of Collonel William Wyne Esq[ui]r[e] and afterwards vnder my Comaund In w[hi]ch said seu[er]all services he hath receaued seu[er]all wounds and bruises by reason whereof his health is now much impaired and his estate vtterly decayed soe that hee hath not att pr[e]sent wherew[i]thal to subsist but what hee hath out of charity from frinds and good Christians And w[i]thall that hee hath dureing the said service and eu[er] since to my knowledge continued firme and loyall to the Royall cause as wittnes my hand dated the xvith September 1670

I desire that the bearer may be admitted to receaue the penc[i]on of Mores Parry of Glascoed late decessed.
