‘The World Turned Upside Down’ Podcast Series

This podcast series uncovers the everyday experiences of ordinary men and women who lived through the Civil Wars. The series has been made for the Civil War Petitions project in association with The World Turned Upside Down project, recorded by Swift Professional Audio and with design work by Spurwing Creative. Each episode features a guest expert who brings their research to life to showcase how the effects of the conflict reached far beyond the battlefield.

Episodes

The first two episodes are recorded with Professor Andrew Hopper (University of Oxford) and explain the background to the Civil War Petitions project and highlight some of the project’s most important findings.
